A rapidly growing music festival, III Points empowers and inspires creative communities, and creates “cultural identity” in Wynwood, Miami. I aspire to one day have an event of my own like III Points because it chooses to rise above the noise and exploring deep down in the music, art, and technology world. This is the future and I would like to be a part of this future eyes in where I can see and create this platform of my own.
My reason for choosing III Points is because I’ve worked for this brand and festival for the past two years, and it has inspired me to create my own festival with my personal brand and business partner. As an artist who also dabbles within the business world, it is essential for me to expand my horizons in order to create the future within my own festival. I want to ensure my festival is all about supporting locals and growing as a platform. III Points is one of my inspirations due to the fact that it is all about creating a local scene for every type of artist with no room for discrimination. It’s all about the purity of art, music, and the local scene, which is exactly what I see in my future within the industry. III Points is important to the community because it turns the bustling city of Miami into an art district Mecca, and opens the third eye of a passionate city that unifies the masses. This inspired me to create my own music festival that can bring locals together and support creative minds to bring them into one with the universe, in which we can all connect and support one another in order to grow as a coherent being.
After researching more on how to develop my own festival I have discovered that festivals are created to implement social inclusion through consumption, production, political engagement, and social interaction through opportunities that include local participation, new skills, and original creativity. Most festivals focus on the number of attendees as opposed to holistic social inclusion, which inhibits the ability to embrace the local community and limits the broader utilization of members of the immediate community and beyond.

III Points defies this concept by utilizing the resources available within the community, as well as encouraging the rest of society to participate in an all-inclusive event that promotes originality and an out-of-this-world creative mindset. Despite III Points’ beginner status, the festival has exploded to an exponential extent. World-famous artists such as Jamie XX, Flying Lotus, and Lykke Li have performed alongside extremely talented underground artists. Not only is the music a reason in and of itself to attend the fledgling festival, the visual art will inspire every attendee, artistic or otherwise, to express themselves in a new and unexplored realm. In the words of the festival’s cofounders David Sinopoli and Erica Freshman, the III Points triangle “is all about connecting people.” In essence, III Points reinforces the idea that music festivals are all about social inclusion and engaging everyone, regardless of origin or background, in an integrated environment where each participant can connect with their creative self and expand their artistic horizons.
